The Triangle Business Journal featured Stewart’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Lee Anne Nance in the article, “Mentoring in this Moment.” Within the piece, Lee Anne recalls her experiences with mentorship, how it has shaped her career, and how mentorship inspires her to give back.

In the article, Lee Anne describes how she was guided early in her graduate studies and the valuable counsel her mentor imparted during that time. The relationship she had with her mentor, characterized by trust and respect, made an indelible impact on Lee Anne’s career trajectory. She emphasizes the necessity of positive and constructive feedback and credits this model of mentorship for her success.

Lee Anne received the Triangle Business Journal 2020 Women in Business Award for Mentorship.

Hand in hand with the firm’s THREAD culture, Stewart offers a mentorship program to its employees. This program pairs mentees with a leadership team member. For six months, the mentor will provide support and guidance around workplace skills and career exploration, as well as encouragement through challenges, meetings, activities, and communication. The program provides a wonderful opportunity for professional development and the strengthening of company culture.

A new session is set to begin in March 2021.
