This project completes the last two segments of the White Oak Creek Greenway, the Town’s 7.3-mile trail connecting Bond Park to the American Tobacco Trail. This segment includes trail construction from Green Level Church Road to the American Tobacco Trail (ATT), a distance of approximately two miles. The project is part of a larger greenway and stream restoration plan with the towns of Apex and Cary as partners.
Stewart designed the trail and structures; handled permitting for the project; and completed surveys, geotechnical investigation, and construction inspections. The project cost is estimated at approximately $9 million, and utilizes CAMPO Locally Administered Project Program (LAPP) funding, requiring special attention to meet NCDOT and federal project guidelines.
