This new 30,000 square foot, two-story building houses a diverse array of outpatient programs including radiology, physical therapy and a spine clinic. The complex will also be UNC Hospital’s first building to be LEED® Certified by the U.S. Green Building Council.
The imagining technologies offered at this facility include general radiography, fluoroscopy, CAT scan, MRI, mammography, ultrasound and bone densitometry. The complex also incorporates a covered loading dock designed for the operation of two mobile imagining trailers, a covered patient drop-off, bicycle storage and recycling facilities.
Stewart was responsible for construction materials testing and special inspections. Inspections include soil and foundations, cast-in-place concrete, masonry, structural steel, paving and spray fire resistant material.
