Sawmill Point is a 330-unit high-density apartment community on the banks of the Cape Fear River in downtown Wilmington, NC. The project was designed to orient all residents to the expansive views of the Cape Fear and tidal marshes. The site design provides visual and physical connections to the river while providing a variety of amenities to accommodate all residents. A major pool provides various spaces including in-pool lounge seating, cabanas, and shaded areas created by custom trellises. Outdoor lounge spaces and kitchens provide year-round and night-time use by residents, while an open lawn provides flexible programming opportunities.
