This project consists of studying improvements to the NC 7 corridor from the US 29/74 intersection north across I-85. Stewart studied new locations and improved existing alternatives to determine the preferred alternative to carry to planning document completion. Through these improvements, the capacity and functionality of the corridor will be improved to provide better connectivity and improved safety.
Key design challenges included balancing context sensitive design within a congested corridor.
