The JB Duke Hotel and Conference Center is a renovation and expansion of the existing hotel and conference center at Duke University. Stewart redefined the visitor entry and arrival sequence by creating a new pedestrian friendly urban plaza. The plaza design blends seamlessly with the architecture to create an inviting sense of arrival for the new hotel. Careful attention was paid to preserve the adjacent existing landscapes and forests.
