Durham Bulls Athletic Park Left Field Plaza

This project started with a conversation over a cup of coffee discussing ways to make the Left Field Plaza at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park more inviting. The owners acknowledged the space was not being utilized to its full potential and there was a plan underway to move the Bull Durham Beer Company into adjacent retail space. Stewart worked closely with the owner, The Durham Bulls, and the brewery to create a place that will support a memorable game day and non-game day experience. Especially challenging was a flexible space with a variety of seating while maintaining adequate egress for the 10,000-seat stadium.
