Community Involvement

Established in 2019, the Community Service Committee was formed to support employees with volunteering and community involvement opportunities. Serving the community is of utmost importance to Stewart; this committee’s role is to facilitate and encourage participation.

Stewart employees don’t mind putting on their hard hats and getting their hands dirty at volunteer and construction activities throughout the year to help families in need.

Stewart also supports other nonprofit organizations. These include Artsplosure and First Night Raleigh, Communities in Schools of Wake County, the Business Friends of the North Carolina Museum of Art, the Blumenthal Theater in Charlotte, and the YMCA of Greater Charlotte to Support Camp Thunderbird. We also donate to the Food Bank of North Carolina through its Canstruction fundraiser, an annual competition where architects and engineers design and build structures out of canned food—all of which is then donated to the Food Bank.

Mentoring Program

Stewart’s mentoring program pairs up mentees with a member of the leadership team. For six months, the mentor will provide support and guidance around workplace skills and career exploration, as well as encouragement on challenges, through meetings, activities, and communication. This is a great opportunity for professional development and to strengthen relationships within the community.
