STEWART BICYCLE/PEDESTRIAN PLANNING & DESIGN PRACTICE – Stewart’s approach to bike/ped planning and design balances our technical expertise in transportation engineering with our commitment to environmental conservation, community health and aesthetic beauty. Bicycle and pedestrian facilities pose some of the same types of challenges as linear road projects but also require specific design considerations based on the end user’s perspective. To that end, Stewart strives to plan and design well-engineered, long-lived projects that meet the needs of the communities they serve. To achieve this goal, we depend on an integrated network of Stewart employees who work in sidewalk, trail, and greenway planning and design, roadway design, landscape architecture, bridge and hydraulic design, surveying, construction administration, geotechnical investigations and construction materials testing.
