Q & A with Jeff D. Oden, PE

What was your first job?

I worked for HDR in Omaha, Neb. in its municipal engineering group as an inspector for a large water main construction project.

If you could have lunch with one person (living or dead) who would it be and why?

My grandfather. He was a very successful business man and leader in his community. He died when I was very young, and I would love to have a chance to hear his story and get his perspective.

What is your favorite form of exercise?

Playing tennis. It can be a really good workout when the competition is good, or a great way to relax and have some fun with friends.

If there were 25 hours in a day, what would you spend the extra hour doing?

Probably sleeping. I never feel like I get enough sleep, because I always find more important or more fun things to do.
