Civil Engineering Intern (Richmond)

Stewart is seeking an entry level Civil Engineering graduate to work in our Richmond office. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of professional experience in design and engineering of land development and infrastructure projects, including design of utilities, storm drainage, grading, erosion control, parking lots, and driveway/roadways.  He/she will be responsible for the analysis and design of civil engineering components and will perform civil design calculations for grading, drainage, utilities, paving, and site designs.  Additionally, he/she will perform drafting and design on projects using AutoCAD and other civil engineering design and modeling software and conduct research for Code requirements, design options, and documents as directed by the Project Manager or Project Engineers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Landscape Designer II (Richmond)

Stewart is seeking a Landscape Designer II to work in our Richmond office. The ideal candidate will have experience 5-10  years’ experience and be able to complete the analysis and site/landscape design for various types of projects.  Additionally, he/she will assist Project Manager with planning, scheduling, developing and coordinating project documentation.  He/she will also perform Construction Administration related duties such as site visits, field reports, shop drawing review, and respond to contractor RFI’s.  Candidate should possess a Bachelors Degree in Landscape Architecture and have excellent communication skills.

Landscape Architect I (Richmond)

Stewart has an immediate opening for a Landscape Architect I to work in our Richmond office. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years experience, have experience working in a multiple discipline environment and be able to coordinate and develop conceptual planning strategies, and prepare design development and construction document packages with cost estimates. He/she will support construction administration and budget management efforts for senior staff. The right person will be responsible for development of creative technical solutions to complex design problems. He/she will have strong design skills at all levels of the planning and design process, including strong digital and hand graphics. He/she will have extensive experience working on projects that include parks, greenways, urban design, streetscape design, and community planning and design. Lastly, this person will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, used to coordinate with multiple disciplines, internally and externally, and within design teams in completing complex planning and design projects. Traveling to project meetings and job sites will be required, as necessary.

Manager of Construction Services (Charlotte)

Stewart has an immediate opening for a Manager of Construction Services for our Charlotte testing and inspections group. This position will be responsible for the overall management of the team to include oversight of projects, client development / retention, financial success / profitability, personnel and general administrative management. Manager must meet all Federal, State and regulatory requirements as it relates to the operations of the Construction Services team.

This position requires the following minimum qualifications:

Structural CAD/Revit Technician I or II (Charlotte)

Stewart, a leading multi-discipline engineering firm, has an immediate opening a Structural CAD / Revit Technician I or II for the Charlotte office.  This person will work with the engineering team to create AutoCAD drawings or produce drawings through REVIT.   Additional responsibilities include, assisting with updating AutoCad and Revit standards, adherence to those standards, and internal file storage management of AutoCAD and REVIT files for structural, architectural, MEP, and Civil drawings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education requirements include Associates of Applied Science in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or REVIT

Structural Engineering Intern (Charlotte)

Stewart, one of the largest engineering and landscape architecture design firms based in North Carolina, is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern to work in our Charlotte office. This is a great opportunity for an individual to expand his/her portfolio and work on a variety of projects in both the public and private sector. Project types include, but aren’t limited to, education, healthcare, institutions, municipalities, architects, departments of transportation and the federal government, as well as commercial, retail, residential and mixed-use developers. The ideal candidate has 0-3 years of experience and will perform structural engineering task as directed by senior engineers. Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited University.  AutoCAD and Revit experience preferred.

Requirements:

  • Registered Engineering Intern (EI) or planning to take the Fundamentals Exam within the next six months.

Structural Project Manager (Charlotte)

Stewart, one of the largest engineering and landscape architecture design firms based in North Carolina, is seeking a Structural Project Manager to work in our Charlotte office.  This is a great opportunity for an individual to expand his/her portfolio and work on a variety of projects in both the public and private sector.  Project types include, but aren’t limited to, education, healthcare, institutions, municipalities, architects, departments of transportation and the federal government, as well as commercial, retail, residential and mixed-use developers.  The Project Manger will supervise the execution of structural building projects up to a range of $30M. He/she will direct and manage project development from beginning to end and accept accountability for project results. He/she will collaborate with senior management, project sponsor, and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budget, and timeline. Additionally, he/she will develop and maintains schedules for assigned projects and maintain profitability goals for projects set by manager.

The right candidate will meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Valid North Carolina Driver’s License required as some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management.

Geomatics Field Supervisor I (Charlotte)

Stewart has an immediate opening for a Geomatics Field Supervisor I for our Charlotte office.  A Geomatics Field Supervisor must be able to oversee and work in a team environment as the leader of a survey crew assisting in the performance of boundary, ALTA, topographic, existing conditions, right-of way, transmission line, transportation, construction and other types of field surveys utilizing the latest equipment and surveying technologies.  Candidate will oversee the crew and equipment in addition to manage the schedule and budget and respond professionally to clients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Degree or Equivalent Required.
  • 3-6 Years of Related Experience
  • NSPS Certified Survey Technician Level II Preferred
  • Good mathematical, basic computer and communication skills.

Roadway Engineer (PE) (Raleigh)

Stewart’s Transportation Group is growing and looking for people with energy, creativity and strong design skills to work on a wide variety of project types. Stewart is seeking a Roadway Engineer to work in our Raleigh office. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in roadway design. This position will be responsible for producing consistently high quality design on a wide variety of roadway projects, both large- and small-scale, including the design of major and minor arterials, limited-access facilities, bridge replacement approaches, at-grade intersections, interchanges, and rail crossings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required

Stewart has an immediate opening for a Structural Project Manager in our Raleigh Office. The Project Manger will supervise the execution of structural building projects up to a range of $30M. He/she will direct and manage project development from beginning to end and accept accountability for project results.
